Garage door openers
Authorized LiftMaster dealer. Chain, belt and side-mount jackshaft drives with battery backup and myQ — and we repair every brand, not just the ones we sell.
Which drive
you want
Three ways to move a door. The right one depends on whether there is living space above the garage and how much ceiling you have.
Chain drive
Get a quote →A steel chain pulls the trolley. The most durable and the least expensive, and the noisiest — fine for a detached garage or where no bedroom sits above.
Belt drive
Get a quote →A reinforced rubber belt instead of chain. Substantially quieter, which is the whole reason to pick it. Standard choice for an attached garage with a room overhead.
Jackshaft / side-mount
Get a quote →Mounts on the wall beside the torsion bar instead of on the ceiling. For garages with no ceiling room to give, cathedral ceilings, or where you want overhead storage.
Battery backup is
not an upsell here
When the power goes out, a garage door opener without battery backup is a door you have to lift by hand from outside, which on most doors means going in through the house first.
Battery backup keeps the opener running for a day or so on a charge. On an attached garage that is often the household entry door, and it is the single upgrade people are most glad they took.
myQ adds phone control and, more usefully, tells you the door is open when you are not home. Every LiftMaster we install supports it.
We repair every brand
Chamberlain, Genie, Craftsman, Overhead Door, Wayne Dalton and older Sears units. Logic boards, gear kits, sensors, remotes and limit adjustment.
Common questions
How long does a garage door opener last?
Ten to fifteen years is typical for a well-installed opener on a properly balanced door. Openers fail early almost entirely because the door itself is out of balance, which makes the motor lift weight the spring should be carrying.
My door reverses before it closes. Is the opener broken?
Usually not. That is almost always the safety sensors near the floor being misaligned, blocked, or having a loose wire. It is one of the quickest things we fix.
Can you install an opener I bought myself?
We can, though we will check the door balance and spring condition first. If the door is not balanced, a new opener will fail the same way the old one did.
What horsepower do I need?
For most residential doors a half-horsepower unit is sufficient. Heavier doors — insulated double-wide, solid wood, or full-view aluminum — do better on three-quarter horsepower or a jackshaft.
